I'm no loger particularly excited by the Triumph Bonneville custom releases... They seem to be very similar each other and I'm getting bored to see almost standard bikes in a field that should be reserved to one of a kind pieces... But sometimes I come across to special ones. This is the case: the last release by my friend Fugar Metal Worker from Ancona. UPDATE 05/08/2013: I met Fugar in Pesaro last weekend and I got his personal intro to this bike. You cannot miss it in the rest of this post.

"The Drophead is born from the vision of its owner (quite a pain in the ass but a man with very clear ideas) who wanted a bonnie handmade with fine materials, not to be classified in a specific style but aggressive and with an harmonic shape. In this bike I mixed vintage components and modern goodies... It may seem a common customized bonnie but it isn’t... The Drophead is not only stylish but also fantastic to drive: the Ohlins fork and shocks, the billet triple and the aluminum swingarm with adjustable offset make it very effective on the road. The exhaust is handmade and the stainless steel mufflers (that made me crazy to build with the shape of a wizard’s sleeve … or donkey’s ass), the dynamic clutch actuator (necessary because the owner was determined as an acid drugs addicted to mount Kustomteck levers, which are hard like a dick in the morning), the Motogadget gauge built in a vintage BMW headlight, completed with a Xenon lamp, make this bike unusual... Many purists might argue that this bike is following too many different styles, but I like it, then why should I care? At the end if you look at it you’ll find it balanced and elegant... Try to handmake it if you dare... "
