The occurence of 30 years of the VMAX this year is also marked with sadness due to the recent passing this week of its original designer Kenji Ekuan at 85 years of age. Kenji Ekuan is an icon in the world of motorcycles as founder of GK Design and was responsible for designing many of the beautiful Yamaha machines of the last 50 years, including the VMAX. Both he and his inspirational designs will be greatly missed.
La celebrazione dei 30 anni della VMAX quest'anno è segnata anche da una profonda nota di tristezza a causa della recente scomparsa, a 85 anni di età, del suo progettista Kenji Ekuan. Kenji Ekuan è un'icona nel mondo delle moto, come fondatore di GK design ed è stato responsabile della progettazione di molte tra le più belle Yamaha degli ultimi 50 anni. Sia lui che i suoi progetti ispirati ci mancheranno.
