The awesome "opera prima" by Simone Conti Motorcycles: glorius, mean and like no other

The heart of this unique motorcycle is a Ducati 900 SS engine controlled by a Ducati Performance ECU. This heart pumps very well thanks to the hand made air filter and the custom exhaust system, both designed and built by Simone Conti. The skeleton of the SCM 1.0 is the self-designed frame. The external part is a CNC machined 6mm sheet of steel. This has been bent and then assembled in the jig together with the backbone and the inner steel trellis frame, which is the structural part of it. The particular seat is supported by a specially designed frame, which is also CNC machined. The tank is aluminium made, 7-liter capacity, designed and handmade by Simone.

The sides of the body, originally made of aluminum, are carbon built in the final version of the bike showed in the pictures. Simone believes that they grant the bike a meaner look. They have an inner aluminum structure to get the necessary hardness. The heart of the electrical system is hidden under the fuel tank with the battery and the control unit between the two carbon side panels. Not far away, we find the oil cooler of a Ducati 999. The forks are transplanted from a Duc 999 as well, and they are tightened by custom billet triple plates. The monoshock is Ohlins, coming from a Duc 1098 as well as the single-sided swingarm. The rims are from a Ducati Multistrada. The whole bike weighs around 170 kg. I love it.

Adorabile.
