Francesco Spaggiari aka Chicco (professional diver), Michele Bocchi aka Miki (independent financial advisor) and Massimiliano Ferrari aka Tomo (mechanic) took Chicco’s 2003 Ducati 749, abandoned in a garage, and put their hands on it to make something special. That’s the way the project “Fast tools” is born.

Francesco Spaggiari detto Chicco (Subacqueo professionista) Michele Bocchi detto Miki (consulente finanziario indipendente) e Massimiliano Ferrari detto Tomo (tecnico meccanico) hanno preso la Ducati 749 del 2003 di Chicco, abbandonata in garage e ci hanno messo sopra le mani. Così, a Parma, è nato il progetto “Attrezzi veloci”.

The fairing has been removed, stripping down the bike to the bone. Frame, engine, triple tree’s plates and handlebar were repainted. The subframe was entirely rebuilt. The liquid coolers were repainted and moved. The electrics has been redesigned: the headlight is from a Ducati Monster and it’s now held by custom brackets. The ignition lock, the start button, the the direction indicators’ controls, the light switch and the fan switch have been repositioned. Even the air-box has been removed: an ad-hoc protected environment was built with metal sheet and the control unit has been remapped. The rear-end received the swingarm of a 2005 Duc. Forks and mono are now Ohlins. Front brake and clutch master cylinders are also new: Brembo gold series. The tank has been reshaped and the front fender and relevant bracket have been newly custom built. The tail and the exhausts have been handmade as well. Even the handgrips, matching with the custom seat, have been expressly built for this bike. 

Le carene sono state eliminate, portando a nudo il telaio che è stato riverniciato. Stessa procedura è stata adottata per motore, piastre di sterzo e semimanubri. Il telaio sottosella è stato ricostruito. I radiatori sono stati verniciati e spostati. L’impianto elettrico è stato riprogettato: Il faro anteriore è ora quello di Ducati Monster, con supporto artigianale. Il blocchetto di accensione, il pulsante start, i comandi degli indicatori di direzione, il devioluci e l’accensione ventola sono stati riposizionati. Anche l’air-box è stato rimosso con la realizzazione ad-hoc di un ambiente protetto in lamiera ed è stata programmata una nuova mappatura della centralina motore. Al retrotreno è stato montato il forcellone scatolato del modello 2005. Forcella e mono sono Ohlins. Le pompe frizione e freno anteriore (Brembo serie oro) sono nuove. Il serbatoio è stato rimodellato e profondamente modificato e il parafango anteriore con il relativo supporto sono stati realizzati artigianalmente. . Il codino e terminale di scarico sono stati realizzati artigianalmente. Anche le manopole in tinta con la sella custom sono state create per questa moto.
