The end. The ride of Salvatore is almost finished. "I left Ushuaia on January 4th, early in the morning… 2000 km in two days in order to get to Mar del Plata on the third day in the afternoon and finally find the sun and the sea."

"I left Ushuaia on January 4th, early in the morning, just after trying to change my flight to Italy, calling Sergio Fassina (Cuttica, the forwarder) to organize a groupage to ship my bike from Buenos Aires, and Michela Amenduni of Triumph Italy to make her contact Triumph Buenos Aires. Almost 2000 km in two days in order to get to Mar del Plata on the third day in the afternoon and finally find the sun and the sea. Two days riding at full throttle, going from the cold South to the hot North. Rio Gallegos, Comodoro, Rivadavia do not have much to offer and the landscapes are almost the same everywhere. La Pampa is not very different from the arid landscapes of Patagonia, but it is hotter and, after the chill of the South, it’s something. The second day the night finds me in the middle of nowhere, in a service station that has no petrol, no places to sleep, but at least I can dine. I camp near the station, while the strong and cold wind makes extremely difficult to pitch the tent and blows it away overnight. I finally manage to sleep somehow, wearing my jacket, wrapped in my sleeping bag, which is wrapped in the tent, laying on my back protector... A sort of roll, a shapeless mass, windswept... Luckily, Alberto, a truck driver, had advised me to stay right there because it was a place more sheltered from the wind... But I made it, and early in the morning I set off to Mar del Plata, via Bahia Blanca. Along the way, I finally get some good news about my flight home, moved to January 14th, and for shipping my bike: I'm a lucky bastard! Now I enjoy the sun and the freezing ocean before my last ride to Buenos Aires where I’ll spend the last days of this trip. Triumph Buenos Aires will supply a box to ship the bike... What a coincidence ... My ride started from Triumph Santiago and will end at Triumph Buenos Aires (Mr. Bombarelli was really nice). Waiting for tomorrow. I’m now going to the beach."

Aspettando domani. Me ne vado in spiaggia..."
