Pure & Simple is the name (and the style) of this SR250 tracker by Trinta & Um

This time around, Toni at Trinta & Um motorcycles received a 1999 Yamaha SR 250 needing some tender loving care! The owner, João, left its belve ride in Toni’s hands to bring her back to the road! The target was the scrambler style (city tracker), bigger and taller with a proper straight line. The bike was stripped down to the bone. The old suspensions were replaced with new ones, YSS 340mm, much longer than the original ones. The entire front end was replaced with another from another SR250 drum version. To bring back the bike to her old days, the hub of a 1974 Honda CL350 was added for a little extra old school touch. The wheels remained stock (18” rear and 19” front), with new Heidenau K67 dual purpose tires. The subframe was cut and closed with a custom loop. On it a new custom leather seat. The fuel tank was also cut and replaced. The engine was disassembled and freshened up with the appropriate repair kits and a new paint job by José Martins from Remembervintage. A new battery box under the sub frame and new electrics were installed. To keep the lithium battery in place, an exquisite detail was added, a leather strap with the builder’s logo, handcrafted by Ricardo Sousa. The stock front mudguard was cut and mounted on the rear end, and used as mould for a new fiberglass front mudguard. The paint job had to be vintage, in line with the rest of the project, and it was inspired by the blue of the 1970’s Porsche 911.
