Fred's Leggero

Walt Siegl's Ducati Leggero 

The Leggero is a series of custom Ducati sportbikes handmade by Walt Siegl to customer specifications: essential elements like frame and bodywork are common to all the bikes of the series. The frame is built in-house with 4130 chrome moly steel tubing and weighs just 15 lbs. The bodywork is made in kevlar. The engines are Bruce Meyers Performance rebuilt and blueprinted two-valve Ducati units fitted with Keihins FCRs or fuel injection systems. This model was built for a lucky custode named Fred. 

Leggero è una serie di sportive Ducati realizzate a mano da Walt Siegl su specifiche del cliente: gli elementi essenziali come telaio e la carrozzeria sono comuni a tutte le moto della serie. Il telaio è autocostruito con tubi di acciaio in cromo molibdeno 4130e pesa poco più di 7 kg. La carrozzeria è realizzata in kevlar. I motori sono unità due valvole Ducati ricostruite con prestazioni migliorate da Bruce Meyers, dotate di carburatori Keihins FCRS o a iniezione. Questo modello è stato costruito per un fortunato cliente di nome Fred.
