1986 R80 "Agata". Build no. 14 by Dream's Factory

The lucky owner of this bike, Mauro, wanted his old R80 to express her real soul, hidden under the plastics and the obsolete lines from the 80’s. Marco Lucci didn’t think twice about it and both decided to work on a modern classic project. Further the decision, they consider several alternatives and finally took the inspiration from the colours and the lines of the super classic R69. Although the bike was overall in good conditions, it has been fully overhauled: the engine has been blueprinted and every single piece of the motorcycle has been repainted, except for the perfectly conserved fuel tank with its lovely light patina. The greatest part of the work regarded the rear end of the bike. The stock subframe has been removed and substituted by a newly built one, shorter and with a higher seat level. The new rear aluminium fender was positioned just above the wheel: being a monolever model, this required some additional work to find the right fastening points. As a LED taillight, a Bates replica was chosen. The new seat, for once, has a proper size and Marco is very proud of its design with a white stripe matching the colour scheme of the bike. Behind it, a documents’ holder can be easily accessed thanks to a magnetic system. The footpegs are new, black anodized, billet aluminium made. The front aluminium fender is new as well, and its brackets were made invisible. The new old-school head light is pretty much Beemer’s style and houses a Velona tachometer. The black handlebar is LSL, with bar end mirrors and Biltwell grips. Finally, a clean and elegant result in a world where there are already too many R80 scrambler with a flat seat to make another one. Well done.

Ben fatto.
