Giorgio De Angelis' Aprila Mana 850 special "one hand drive" 

Built for a friend of Giorgio who unfortunatley is unable to use his right hand, this bespoke Aprilia Mana made his owner's dream to ride a proper custom built motorcycle come true (and not a just a scooter). This specific donor bike was choosen since is one of the few stock models with acceptable displacement and power provided with an automatic shift. However, the bike was entirely re-engineered, moving all the handlebar's controls on the left hand side, rebuilding the bodywork, adding top tear aftermarket components. Only the dashborad, with embeds the complex electronics of the automatic shift, remained stock. The result is a complete street legal bike, with the only exception of the lovely custom built exhaust. Introduced at the Rome Motodays 2018, this bike awarded the first prize in its cathegory and the title of "Best of the show".

Realizzata da Giorgio per un amico che sfortunatamente non ha l'uso della mano destra, questa Aprilia Mana ha realizzato il sogno del suo proprietario di guidare una vera moto custom (e non solo uno scooter). Questa specifica base è stata scelta perchè è uno dei pochi modelli di serie con accettabili cilindrata e potenza che dispone di cambio automatico. Tuttavia, la moto è stata completamente riprogettata, spostando tutti i comandi manuali sul lato sinistro, ricostruendo la carrozzeria e utilizzando componenti aftermarket allo stato dell'arte. Solo la strumentazione, all'interno della quale risiede la complessa elettronica che governa il funzionamento automatico della moto, è rimasta originale. Il risultato è una moto perfettamente omologata per l'uso stradale, con la sola eccezione del bellissimo scarico artiginale appositamente costruito. Presentata al Motodays di Roma 2018, questa moto ha vinto il primo premio nella sua categoria e il titolo di "Best of the show"
