Leaving Perù... Puno - La Paz: 300 km

"Passed the Titicaca lake it started raining very heavily. Riding on the coast of the lake was very nice also because there are several 'miradors' from which you can really appreciate its immensity. Once I got the Bolivian Border, at Desaguadero, I dealt with the local customs procedures, showing my passport at least 10 times, even once I got out from the customs. Before arriving in La Paz I passed through  El Alto. The name of the town is due to the fact that it's about 4000 m ASL. I will not keep a good memory of it: it is shabby and chaotic. La Paz didn't impressed me, traffic is a nightmare, similar to that in Lima ... And even this place it's not exacly wiped clean. I arrived at my accommodation quite late, just in time to cover the bike in view of the storm expected at night. La Paz is a place to leave soon, the Yungas Road is waiting for me. "
