1977 Kawasaki Z1000: an extreme resto-mod by RF-Biketech

There is something magnetic about classic Kawasaki "Z" models, especially when they fall into the hands of the German wizards at RF-Biketech. This version of the Z1000 in metallic black (finished by Experience Colors) takes the "muscle-retro" aesthetic to a level of absolute aggression. Don't be fooled by the tank's 1970s lines: beneath the surface beats a modern and muscular heart. The chassis is pure street-fighter. The undisputed highlight is the rear end. RF-Biketech has installed its own single-sided swingarm with an integrated sprocket shaft system—a refined technical solution necessary to accommodate a massive 300 mm rear tire mounted on an 18-inch spoked rim. Despite the imposing dimensions, the builder claims that agility is guaranteed by a Wilbers central monoshock and massive ZF inverted forks, held in place by CNC-machined triple clamps. The legendary Japanese four-cylinder engine hasn't just been polished; it has been completely rebuilt. It now boasts a displacement of 1075 cc thanks to REC pistons, fed by a bank of Mikuni RS 34 carburetors with K&N pod filters. The RFB 4-in-1 exhaust system completes the build, promising a soundtrack that matches its performance. Every inch of this bike has been redesigned: • Cockpit: A stunning set of polished aluminum retro instruments dominates the 850 mm Superbike handlebar. • Transparency: The clutch cover has been CNC-machined and fitted with a clear window, allowing a glimpse of the mechanical heart in motion. • Lighting: Up front, there’s an LED headlight with an "Invisible" mount, while the rear is kept clean thanks to the RFB conversion kit with integrated dual lights. 

This Z1000 blends the timeless 1970s aesthetic with extreme German engineering. It will certainly make many purists turn up their noses, but it will also turn many heads in curiosity and admiration.

Questa versione della Z1000 in nero metallizzato (curata da Experience Colors) porta l'estetica "muscle-retro" a un livello di cattiveria assoluta. Non lasciatevi ingannare dalle linee anni ‘70 del serbatoio: sotto la pelle batte un cuore moderno e muscoloso. La ciclistica è da street-fighter. Il pezzo forte è indubbiamente il retrotreno. RF-Biketech ha installato il proprio forcellone monobraccio con sistema a pignone integrato, una soluzione tecnica raffinata necessaria per ospitare una gomma posteriore da ben 300 mm montata su un cerchio a raggi da 18 pollici. Nonostante le dimensioni imponenti, il costruttore dichiara che l’agilità è garantita da un monoammortizzatore centrale Wilbers e da una massiccia forcella a steli rovesciati ZF, abbracciata da piastre di sterzo ricavate dal pieno. Il leggendario quattro cilindri giapponese non è stato solo lucidato, ma completamente rigenerato. Ora vanta una cilindrata di 1075 cc grazie ai pistoni REC, alimentati da una batteria di carburatori Mikuni RS 34 con filtri a cono K&N. Lo scarico 4-in-1 firmato RFB completa l'opera, promettendo una colonna sonora all'altezza delle prestazioni. Ogni centimetro di questa moto è stato ripensato: Cockpit: Uno splendido set di strumenti retro in alluminio lucidato domina il manubrio Superbike da 850 mm. Trasparenze: Il coperchio della frizione è stato lavorato al CNC e dotato di un oblò trasparente, permettendo di spiare il cuore meccanico in movimento. Luci: All'anteriore troviamo un faro LED con supporto "Invisible", mentre il posteriore è pulito grazie al kit di conversione RFB con doppie luci integrate. Questa Z1000 coniuga l'estetica intramontabile degli anni '70 con l'ingegneria tedesca più estrema. Farà di certo storcere il naso a molti puristi, ma farà anche girare molte teste ad ammirarla incuriositi.
